Classical Fighting Arts magazine is a periodical distributed by direct mail to subscribers, and through the major book chains such as Barnes & Noble, Hastings Entertainment, etc. Distribution in North America and Canada is by the largest US distributors, Ingram Periodicals Inc. While every effort is made to publish at quarterly intervals, a greater emphasis is placed on quality of content than strict adherence to publishing deadlines.
The Classical Fighting Arts team of contributing editors and technical advisors—which includes many of the greatest living martial arts masters and researchers—produces material of unequalled quality and depth. So much so that in 2010 it won the Award for Literary Excellence from the Okinawan Prefectural Karate Do Federation.
If you are seeking accurate, professionally researched material that is also an enjoyable and stimulating read, CFA should be your magazine of choice.

"Classical Fighting Arts is the only martial arts magazine I read. I am always impressed by the quality and historic value of the articles and accompanying photographs. Classical Fighting Arts gets back to the source of the martial arts.”

Classical Fighting Arts Magazine
From Vol. 2 No.27 (Issue #50) the volume number of CFA magazine was changed to reflect the fact that we had a new distributor. However the Issue number runs consecutively, so the current issue, is Vol. 3 No.8 (Issue #58). To avoid confusion, in future we will identify specific magazines by its issue number.
